Refund and Returns Policy

We want you to be happy with your unit. This policy explains your options and your rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA).

Cooling-off for online orders

If you ordered online, you may cancel within 7 days of delivery without giving a reason, as provided by ECTA. The unit must be returned in the condition it was delivered, and you are responsible for the cost of collecting and returning it.

Defective units

If a unit is defective or does not match its description and grade, let us know within 6 months of delivery. We will repair it, replace it or refund you, in line with the CPA. Normal wear consistent with a used grade (for example surface rust or dents on a cargo-worthy container) is not a defect.

Before delivery

You can cancel an order at no cost before payment, or before the unit has been dispatched. If you have already paid, we refund you by EFT.

How to request a return

Email info@steelyardcontainerco.co.za with your order number, photos of the issue and a short description. We will reply with the next steps.
